You know that feeling of being alone even though you're in a group of people? Even when you're with your "intimate" partner? The pleasure of connection is engulfed by the pain of lack.. (connection with other humans is a basic human need.) What brings you the pleasure you're missing??? Food? What food? Does it work?

Food is more than only sustenance. It can be social, represent family, memories and happiness, it brings pleasure, comfort, it is something to do when bored... Sometimes we mistake physical hunger for emotional hunger. It's complex.

Have you ever chosen a word for the year? It’s intended to be a theme for the upcoming year. It’s worth putting some thought into it because in my experience, it makes a difference. It’s an affirmation, it’s an intention.

How are you connected with the food you take in to your body? Do you eat standing up as you do other things? Do you eat while you are both in front of the TV as well as checking your phone? Have you ever eaten while you were arguing? Do you throw a frozen meal into the microwave?

Feeding yourself and your family can be more than just an obligation. It can be more than the physical mixing of the ingredients and the nutrition profile. Sleep is essential for our well-being. As adults, it’s recommended we get at least eight hours sleep per night, and if we don’t, we’re likely to feel less productive the next day.
One technique I’ve been using with great results for better sleep is meditation. This surprised me, as a lot of meditation guides and books state never to meditate before bed, as it might perk you up and make falling asleep more difficult...
